Questions + Answers

Are your photography services only for at-home births?
As a Doula, I do get a lot of inquiries for births at home and at birth centers, but I also offer birth photography for hospital births, and travel anywhere in the world to capture your birth story.

When should a Birth Photographer Arrive?
When you hire me as your birth photographer, we go over all the details of your birth, including when to call me! Typically, you or your support person will call when anything changes i.e. your water breaks, consistent contractions, or if checking dilation you're 6-7 cm.

How long do you stay?
When I arrive at your birth, I will stay until the baby is earthside and up to two hours after to capture you bonding with the baby, family members meeting the baby for the first time and all the sweet after birth details.

How many photos will I get?
Since every birth is different, the amount of images received can change, while I may take many images to ensure the moment is captured I typically deliver 60-100 edited images from your birth.

Do you offer newborn photography?
Of course I do! Newborn photography is my jam! I typically photograph baby in my studio within the first 3 weeks of life. My Valdosta studio is stocked full of beautiful props, and an array of colorful wraps, hats and headbands to style baby in. How many birth sessions do you take a month?
Bethany shoots a limited amount of sessions a month, getting your Due Date on the calendar as soon as possible will ensure you have a spot! I will put that as our tentative session date until you have your baby, then we will schedule your actual day and time.
